Who operates BreathScript

BreathScript and this website are operated by Kenji Shimura (ShimukenApp). Questions about information handling can be sent through the contact form below.

Information collection in the app

The current app has no accounts, advertising, tracking, or analytics SDK. Your handwriting, Journal history, and app preferences are not sent to the developer’s server. There is no feature allowing the developer to retrieve or view this on-device data.

Information handled by Apple’s services, including the App Store, OS diagnostics, and backups, is governed by your Apple settings and Apple’s privacy policy.

Information saved on your iPad

Journal stores completion metadata such as the prompt, start and completion dates, active writing duration, and Writing Style. It is used for day, week, and month review and today’s completion status. Finished handwriting is not saved. Older completed handwriting is removed while preserving its history.

One unfinished session is stored for Resume, including its prompt, phase, style, duration, and handwriting from each phase. This draft is deleted when its completed record is successfully saved or when you explicitly discard it.

Preferences such as style, collection, introduction acknowledgment, reminder settings, and daily notification bookkeeping are saved locally to maintain app behavior. There is no cross-device sync.

Reminders

Notifications are optional. When you enable them, the app requests OS permission and schedules local notifications. Scheduling does not use the developer’s server. You can disable reminders in the app or iPad notification settings. Sound and banner delivery depend on OS permission, Focus, and other settings.

Retention, deletion, and backups

Completed Journal history remains locally until you delete individual records. Unfinished handwriting remains until successful completion or explicit discard. Deleting the app normally removes its local app data. Inclusion in OS backups and restoration depends on your settings and Apple’s mechanisms. The developer does not provide a backup or recovery service.

Apple services and purchases

The current release is free and offers no new in-app purchases. For compatibility, it retains Apple StoreKit checks for previously acquired collection access. Apple handles payment information; the developer does not receive credit card details. If paid content or information handling changes, this policy will be updated as needed.

Information you send when contacting us

The contact form uses Google Forms. Your message, name or email depending on your input and the form’s settings, and any device or app information you choose to share are handled to answer your inquiry, investigate issues, and communicate about them. This information is not automatically sent by the app. Please avoid sharing unnecessary personal or confidential information.

Google sign-in may be required. Google’s processing is covered by its privacy policy. Inquiry information is retained only as needed for support and related follow-up, then deleted when no longer needed, except where legal retention is required. You can request access, correction, or deletion through the same form.

Website and external services

This website has no analytics, advertising, or tracking using cookies or browser local storage. Images and fonts are served from this site. Google Forms is linked, not embedded.

The site is hosted on Xserver. The hosting environment may record IP addresses, access times, referring pages, and browser information in ordinary access logs for delivery, maintenance, and security. Log retention and management depend on hosting settings. External links are governed by the destination service’s policies.

Sharing and safeguards

We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising. Inquiry information is not disclosed to third parties except for service processing needed for support and hosting, with your consent, or as required by law. Information handling is limited to what is necessary and managed appropriately.

Policy changes

This page and its last-updated date will change when features or information handling change. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or website as appropriate.

Contact, access, correction, and deletion requests
